CareAcademy is pleased to announce the release of a new class, CARE0210 – Clients’ Rights and Privacy for Canadian Caregivers. This course was specifically created to address the requests of our Canadian customers for a class on Canadian privacy legislation, PIPEDA.
CARE0210 is a core compliance class that will be beneficial for professional, in-home, non-medical caregivers working in Canada. However, the principles covered in this class will also be relevant to a wide range of professionals working with clients in their homes in Canada.
The course covers the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), which is the federal privacy legislation that governs the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information by private sector organizations. It explains how PIPEDA applies to the work of caregivers, and what they need to do to ensure compliance with the legislation. In this course, Canadian caregivers will also learn how to protect their clients’ personal information, respect clients’ rights, and practice ethical behavior when working with clients.
The class is comprised of interactive lessons that contain animated and live-action videos, and it takes approximately 40 minutes to complete.
CARE0210 can be used to satisfy the needs of Canadian customers for content related to clients’ rights and privacy. It will be available to customers on all packages.
